Maintenance Personnel 

Job Description

Purpose of Position: Responsible for supporting operations in regard to equipment & facility maintenance and repair. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Key responsibilities:

  • Repair of production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex automated machinery, performing both electrical and mechanical work as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades as required on production equipment.
  • Perform facilities related maintenance tasks including but not limited to repairs upgrades, painting and facility up keep and installations as required.
  • Provide technical assistance to operators during equipment problems.
  • Perform & Assist in documentation for equipment related work. PM schedules, spare parts lists, etc.
  • Communicating accurately, concisely and professionally with shift supervisors/lead to important repair steps taken, parts ordered and time estimated until completion.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Assist in the fabrication and assembly of complex automated manufacturing equipment. Systems include pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC and complex control wiring.
  • Work with shift lead / supervisor to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Will be trained per OMS for all production process and provide backup support as production operator when needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Background & Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work on a fast-paced, deadline driven design & build team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety protocols including but not limited to Lock Out/Tag Out programs, etc.

Ability and willingness to perform moderate physical tasks. Continuously moves about between areas and tasks

  • Standing/walking up to 8 hours/day
  • Frequently (34%-66%) lifts
  • Carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 35-50 pounds.
  • Must work on ladders and use medium and heavy hand tools. Occasionally climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling (40%) and must have finger dexterity.
  • Ability to use common, electrical and tolerance measuring devices and equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings and technical manuals
  • PLC and automated manufacturing equipment knowledge a plus.
  • Good organizational and work planning skills.
  • Strong communication and intrapersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Disciplined, problem solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic
