Hearn Industrial Services in Louisville Kentucky is seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift/General Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment operation, and the ability to perform various maintenance tasks. As a Forklift / General Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and functionality of our work environment.
Duties
- Very good skills in troubleshooting and repairing powered industrial equipment.
- Maintain parts inventory.
- Process work orders after completion of each job.
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Performing preventative and basic maintenance repairs.
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
- Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
- Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
- Welding experience is preferred.
Experience
- Always uphold safety rules and policies, ensuring a secure working environment.
- Strong customer orientation with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).(3-5 years)
- Time management expertise to handle multiple priorities.(3-5 years)
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with laptop fundamentals.(3-5 years)
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Yale forklifts, Standups, and Tuggers.(3-5 years)
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. (3-5 years)
- Familiarity with clamp trucks, shipping receiving processes, and RF scanning technology.(3-5 years)
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely, including Yale forklifts, Stand ups and Tuggers. (3-5 years)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in performing maintenance tasks. (3-5 years)
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.(3-5 years)
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred but not mandatory.
License and Certifications
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Certification to operate material handling equipment
- Education (High School or GED Required)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
