Full Job Description
Hearn Industrial Services is seeking a Mobile Trailer Repair Technician , to service three sites up to 80 trailers around Louisville, Ky.
Mechanic Job Requirements:
- DOT/KY state inspection license
- Perform required trailer repairs/maintenance (inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose etc.)
- Interpret work orders, technical manuals, follow safety protocols
- Must be able to lift parts up to 75 lbs.
- Aluminum sheet/panel, body rail, roofing, and flooring
- Air brake system and suspension
- Lighting/Electrical
- Welding & Fabrication as needed
- ABS diagnosis
- Perform trailer repairs, including wall patches and floor patches
- Perform preventative maintenance on trailers
- Replace wheel seals
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with trailers
- Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
- Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures.
- Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.
- Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
- Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor.
- Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
- Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner.
- Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.
- Assist with other maintenance techs when trailer repairs aren’t needed, to include (warehouse maintenance, switcher maintenance, forklift maintenance, dock maintenance)
Qualifications for a Mobile Trailer Mechanic Technician:
- Must have a clean driving record
- Teammate with a strong sense of dedication to the customer and service team
- Self-motivated and professional
Mobile Technician Mechanic Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, Standing, Stooping/Kneeling for extended amounts of time.
- Reaching with arms and hands
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work independently
Education:
DOT/KY state inspection license
Job Specifications:
Monday to Friday - 7:00am to 3:30pm- Overtime and Weekends if needed.
Wage is $25.00 to 30.00 dollars per hour depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
