Hearn Industrial Services, a leading service provider to the automotive industry, is seeking a Quality Containment Supervisor for our East Chicago, IN Facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the department runs in an efficient and profitable manner, providing value-add solutions to our client’s needs. Measurements of success include customer satisfaction, loyalty, retention and expansion of client base.
· Plan, co-ordinate and control the activities of the customer service team to maintain and enhance customer relationships, meet organizational and operational objectives.
· Ensure daily, weekly and monthly tasks are assigned to the appropriate Team Leads / Lead Hands and are monitored to performance expectation.
· Address work-related deficiencies, performance matters in a timely manner to avoid any service disruptions.
· Ensure teams within assigned location(s) are operating according to client reporting and safety protocols
· Train and educate Team Leads and Inspectors on proper procedures relevant to the project, client or company standards
· Initiate or receive client contact prior to each new project, gather necessary information required to successfully perform the job. Manage customer relationships throughout the lifecycle the job or project.
· Coordinate new jobs - physical layout, material handling, and staffing as required
· Develop work instructions and ensure Team Leads / Lead Hands are trained; support the training of all employees on the job – components may include inspection, rework, sorting, checking or packaging of various parts
· Document, communicate and retrain if the client requests any criteria changes
· Understand production expectations and ensure targets can be met
· Report any non-conformances to the Quality Department and work to identify, investigate and correct any non-conformances
· develop relationship with customer representatives and suppliers, encourage business development and new business opportunities while monitoring customer satisfaction
· Allocate resources including personnel based on forecast of customer demand and business need
· Develop new operational initiatives including the launch of new customers, locations and/or services
· Review project for evidence that best practices are being implemented, applied effectively and understood at all levels
· Train and educate the client on proper ordering procedures and company policies
· Ensures all teams within assigned region are operating according to company requirements
· Completes required training classes
· All other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
· Three (3) years of direct manufacturing experience in an automotive environment, managing customer and employee relations; Tier 1 automotive manufacturer preferred
· Strong root cause analysis, presentation, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills.
· Ability to multi task and set priorities to meet tight deadlines
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Available to work assigned hours based on business needs
· Thorough knowledge of automotive quality systems and initiatives
· Ability to identify potential quality systems failures and implement preventive corrective action

· Entrepreneurial skills, managed a small to medium-size business
To be discussed – Range is $25-$26 per Hour plus mileage and expenses.
